The job of a fashion stylist is to turn a designers creation into a wearable ensemble for a specific person, purpose or event. The chic designs by this weeks Stylish Spotlight Designer, Ronald Keith Jones, made my job of being a fashion stylist super achievable. With the help of hairstylist, Tim Oneal and Jo-Anna Nnorom of Fernorm Faces on makeup, it only took a few complementing accessories and perfectly set props.

To execute the TENNIS inspired theme I wore the white “Pure Soul” matching skirt set from the RKJ Clothing collection. This top gave the perfect couture feel with it’s exaggerated bell sleeves. On my head is a thick white head band, which actually came in handy considering how spicy-hot it was that day, LOL. I added a pair of green buckled booties & matching leg warmers for an edgy aesthetic.
Furthermore, the pictures were captured on a beautiful green tennis court with character to die for. It made portraying the theme obvious and an even easier task. In addition a vintage tennis racket and neon colored tennis balls were added as props to nail home the styling of a modern, stylish athlete. Am I “serving” you Venus and Serena Williams with this look?
Shout out to the beautiful, Chasity Samone, modeling this outfit for the designer’s look book. Much love and even more success to RJ for designing these exquisite garments. Other pieces in his line are also must see garments. The Asian influence incorporated in his necklines, fit and strategically placed zippers are attributes that contribute to the uniqueness of his apparel. Check out the talented photographer, Cy Davison of Beyond Reach Media, for more wonderful photography. He is the reason for my celebration of the first time my fashion styling has been published. Nevertheless, the angles, backgrounds and quality of the pictures published in the magazine show why Cy is a force to be reckoned with. Also, check out the April 2017 issue of En Vie Magazine to see our full, three page spread and other dynamic photography.
I must add, I’ve been published nationally and internationally as a model. This is the first time for fashion styling. I managed to be the model and wardrobe stylist for this shoot. Yaaaaaasssssss! Because I am so proud of my team and I, here is a bonus for my readers. Feast your eyes on the third page of the April 2017 En Vie Magazine spread, modeled and styled by yours truly.
